Lenovo’s new ThinkPad T400s is somewhat netbook-esque. It measures only 0.83 inches thin and has a starting weight of under 4 pounds and a battery life of up to 6 hours. This is where the netbook similarities end however.

Inside, the T400s features a 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo Processor, your choice of either a 128GB solid state drive or 250GB standard hard drive, DVD burner or Blu-ray player, and all the other amenities such as Wi-Fi, card readers, and Bluetooth.

It also decided to cater to us individuals who like to eat over our keyboards. It seems that they made the keys larger, resulting in smaller gaps between the keys to prevent crumbs from falling between. I can’t believe it took someone this long to make a crumb-friendly keyboard, as crumbs in my keyboard seem to be my arch nemesis, but I digress.

If you would like an incredibly up-close look at the T400s, see the preview video below. The new laptops start at $1599 and are available now through Lenovo business partners and at www.lenovo.com.
