The hot new Olympus E-P1 “digital Pen” camera is now available for pre-order from various retailers starting at $749. The camera still won’t be available until July, but at least this way you can keep the money from burning a hole in your pocket while you wait for the official release.

For those who don’t know about his camera yet, it’s Olympus’s latest offering in the popular once again category of not quite a digital SLR, but much better than a point and shoot category of cameras. It features interchangeable lenses and a 12.3 megapixel image sensor all in a chassis that lets everyone know you are a geek with style.
